About the Artist:
Pacific Northwest Landscape Photographer Annette Stiers Jones
My Journey Into Landscape Photography
Hello, I am landscape photographer Annette Stiers Jones. I am based in Washington in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
My journey with photography began in childhood in Indiana, where I first picked up a camera through 4-H fair exhibits. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong love of art and storytelling through scenic photographs that captured the world around me.
After high school, I pursued a career in science, graduating at the top of my class in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. My career as an engineer took me to Texas and later to Washington State—a place my husband and I first discovered on vacation. We quickly fell in love with the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Little did I know it would someday play a central role in my life’s work as a landscape photographer.
A few years ago, I made the decision to leave engineering to pursue a path that brought greater joy and fulfillment. Photography seemed the perfect choice—the intersection of math, science, and art, combined with my love of the outdoors. Leveraging both my technical background and natural artistic instincts, I quickly mastered advanced techniques. For example, I’ve learned everything from capturing fleeting mountain sunsets to photographing the Milky Way, star trails, and rare moon and sun alignments.
My Philosophy as a Landscape Photographer
I know people are missing the peace and beauty of nature in their everyday lives. My mission is to capture fleeting moments of natural wonder and bring them into the homes of my collectors, offering a daily reminder of the serenity, strength, and inspiration found outdoors.
Nature may appear eternal, yet it is constantly changing—sometimes subtly with the passing of a season, other times suddenly and catastrophically. A photograph preserves these moments of beauty, allowing us to return to them again and again, long after the moment has passed.

Brining the Outdoors In
From iconic peaks of Mount Rainier to hidden alpine lakes, wildflower meadows, waterfalls, and starlit skies, my work celebrates the vast beauty of Washington State photography and the greater Pacific Northwest. I craft each piece with both precision and heart, offering timeless landscape photography art that connects people with the great outdoors.
Print Quality & Craftsmanship
Just as much care goes into the final print as into the creation of each image. I have carefully evaluated professional print labs and mediums across the country to ensure my work is produced with the highest possible quality. I have created every piece to deliver exceptional detail, a true and faithful representation of color, and archival longevity. Because of this attention to detail, you can enjoy my artwork for years to come.
